When multiple changes are proposed concurrently, you can tell Jenkins to do them in parallel (to increase the throughput but you need more computers), or you can tell Jenkins to do them in a sequence. Those changes are built/tested/validated by a single Jenkins job. The validated merge feature allows multiple developers to “propose” changes to the same branch.
